After the KL trip, I find myself finding and looking for God through the day. And it's so amazing when I position myself in the presence of God, the world and its heaviness just fade away.
And this week, I asked God what is the purpose and my priority of doing all that I am doing. And He spoke very clearly to me that God is after my heart out of everything I am doing. It can be so easy for us to reduce church activities into just a duty. Just like Abraham, his sacrifice of Isaac was most precious to him. Just like David, he will not offer a sacrifice that costs him nothing. All these bible heroes, are touched by the Lord and His grace and therefore they responded to God. They gave, they knelt, they fell on their face, they worship, they dance, they pray, they even feasted!
And I learnt that God does not respond to what we do, but we respond to what God has done, and is still doing today. Our worship, our love are response to His kindess upon our lives. You think yor life sucks? Frankly, I think life before the Cross and the New Covenant is worse. Save the Old Testament and Law preaching. My point is, I do thank God for many things in my life, but I am most thankful for Jesus and what He has done on the cross for me.
Jesus' love for me is unchanging and it's eternal. This is one thing I can always thank God for. Sure it's easy for me to say, I have a great husband, I am skinny, I have a great family etc, but all these are subject to changes and pressure. I want to put my hope on Jesus, because He has proved to be faithful even when I was rotten and faithless.
So guys, if you're reading this, if you feel something is missing at your life this point, be thankful for what Jesus has done. Because of Him, we can enter boldly, anytime anywhere into His presence. And trust me, prayers may not changes things for you, but it sure changes you for things.
Be blessed the weekend ahead. Ciao.
