The World's Greatest Dad

The World's Greatest Dad, My Father.

My dad is born in 1949 and do that math and you will know he is 60 years old. Brandon & I got our new crib and we would probably move in next week. We love our home very much and it could only be because of my wonderful father.

From the time we got our keys to the place, maybe we spent about average a day in a week at the new crib. But my dad would faithfully go there almost daily, just to ensure everything is done properly for us. People asked me who is my contractor for my house, I am proud to say that it is my father. He is a jack of all trade and he is probably the only person that is a master of all. He is not just the world's greatest father, he is a great cook, a great handyman, a great repairman, a great teacher, a funny joker, a great accountant (he is very thrifty), he is just excellent in so many ways.

My dad already sold his lorry a couple of months back, so he travels around with his bicycle. He would cycle to my new crib (We live in Bedok Reservoir and my new place is at Bedok Central) everyday and even bring equipments, fans, tools, whatever you can think of (yes there you go) there. I would find a standing fan in the house and when I questioned him how did he bring it over, he would say that he cycle it there. From the fan, to the toolbox, to the trolley (See I told you!), our house mop... to sum it up, my dad is the real juggling king.

Beside all that, he painted our entire house by himself, washed and cleaned the floor and did many more things which probably we weren't there to know. I once commented that I didn't like the black cement between the kitchen tiles. When Brandon & I went back the next morning, we realised all between the kitchen tiles are covered and sealed with white cement. Yes my dad did that for us, it must be really tiring to do that. He may count our new place as his pet project, but there's no doubt about it, my dad is indeed the World's Greatest Father.

And when I think about how good he is, I can't help to think that how good my heavenly Father will even be.

Matthew 7:11
Even though you're evil, you know how to give good gifts to your children. So how much more will your Father in heaven give good things to those who ask him?
