I didn’t sleep well last night. Ironically I prayed for my mum to sleep well. My folks will be coming to church this weekend. They are reluctant to come. That is the problem with new believers, they need you to hold their hand and drag them to church. Thereafter they would be thankful you did so.
I have been thinking about this whole subject on friends recently. As you get a little older, you are more selective in giving your heart and time. And this is a good thing. See, I believe in sowing and reaping. Friendship is more than words. It’s not what you do once in a while, it’s what you do day in and day out that makes the difference.
I have a good friend named Gina. She is an air-stewardess and I would probably only see her once or twice a month. But the strange thing is, I always have this feeling she is around. She would make me cards, write me letters, pray for me and give to me. We known each other for less than 2 years but it feels like we have been friends forever. And she always comes across as someone dependable and trustworthy. I know that she is genuinely concerned for me because her words often translate into actions. And I really appreciate her because I know she has tried to be a friend to me. And in exchange, I give her my love, my friendship and my time.
"A true friend unbosoms freely, advises justly, assists readily, adventures boldly, takes all patiently, defends courageously, and continues a friend unchangeably."
