Hey everyone,
I am starting to miss home, especially the fact that I should be home to prepare for the upcoming trip and Emerge.
This trip has been great. My faith and patience has grown over the past few days. There were lots of trying moments from the first day until today, but be it good or bad, I want to give God all the praise and glory. For the past few nights, Brandon and I been reading the bible together. We are now on 1 Kings, about the lives of Elijah and Elisha. It's been wonderful so far. I feel my spiritual hunger growing and wanting for more.
Sometimes we do not understand why there are bad times or trying moments, but yet in the midst of that, we learn to lean on God more. Last night Brandon and I had a good chat about how human beings are entangled and choked by our own standards and wants. I really love how the Martin says it in his song "Save Me, from the kingdom of comfort, from the unhealthy lust of material things." Sometimes we can be so caught up with certain wants in our lives we fail to see the true gift of joy and contentment.
I just want to thank God for everything and everyone in my life. Thank You Jesus.
Contentment and Godliness are Great Gains.
