My Priority

I had the most wonderful time catching up with Isabel and Mindy earlier on. We have been friends for over a decade and I'm glad we still can enjoy times like that together. Besides catching up on our latest updates in our lives, something Mindy shared struck a chord in my heart.

When I prayed to God a while ago, I had a revelation about what really matters most in this life that I live. The truth is, those that are actively serving in ministries we often are occupied by the busyness and would probably think God require that of us. I asked myself, what does God require of me. And I know without a shadow of doubt, God requires me to walk with Him everyday. Coincidentally, Venetia shared about building a life of faith and Mindy too confirmed what God is speaking to me in my heart.

God require everyone of us to live by faith.

No, attending church services doesn't get you to heaven,

Nope, going to cell group doesn't too,

Neither does serving actively in the ministry does too,

Neh, getting a soul saved weekly would not get you there too,

And I believe it's solely about walking with God, talking to Him, meeting His need of fellowship. The acts of attending church, cell group, serving, loving people are expressions and acts of our obedience or rather we do them to become a better person.

I am encouraged and desire to walk with God even more. That is my priority.

Matthew 7:21-23 - Message Bible
Knowing the correct password—saying 'Master, Master,' for instance— isn't going to get you anywhere with me. What is required is serious obedience—doing what my Father wills. I can see it now—at the Final Judgment thousands strutting up to me and saying, 'Master, we preached the Message, we bashed the demons, our God-sponsored projects had everyone talking.' And do you know what I am going to say? 'You missed the boat. All you did was use me to make yourselves important. You don't impress me one bit. You're out of here.'

Ouch. That is very scary, I don't want to be left outside there when Jesus comes back.
