Chris Brown is currently under investigation for alleged domestic violence felony battery, police officials have confirmed. The LAPD has confirmed Chis and an unidentified woman were involved in a heated argument in Los Angeles early on Sunday. The woman suffered visible injuries and identified the R&B singer as her attacker.
LAPD officer April Harding issued a statement after a 911 call reported the disturbance:
"If police locate Brown, he's subject to arrest."
Earlier on Saturday night (07Feb09), Brown and girlfriend Rihanna - who were both scheduled to perform at the 51st Annual Grammy Awards on Sunday (08Feb09) - attended music mogul Clive Davis' pre-Grammy Gala in Beverly Hills.
Both stars have since canceled their appearances at the big show.
Police have reportedly described Rihanna's injuries to TMZ.
"...Rihanna's injuries were severe -- two 'huge contusions' which swelled up on both sides of her forehead. We're told she also suffered 'a bloody lip and nose.'
If this is true, Chris Brown, you are the Scum of the Nation, this is how my sister would call it. For crying out loud, you guys are celebrities and your private lives are on display 24/7. Practicing a little self-control wouldn't kill.
