I remember when I was in my teens, songs about getting your heart broken and searching and waiting for true love were on my playlist everyday. I mean what do I know about true love and sacrifice being 16 but the strange thing is I could immense myself in it and feel as if the writer or song could sympathize with me.
This morning I was cycling to work, I was listening to one of Alicia Keys' song "Lesson Learned." It talks about how a girl was left heartbroken and how she has learned her lesson. And there I realized I do not need songs like that anymore. Of course I enjoy for listening pleasure wise and there are so many great songs about having your heart broken, it is therapeutic and it makes you feel that you are not alone. But what I am trying to say is, I don't think I will get my heart broken anymore, because I know my heart is safe with Brandon.
Girls you will know what I am talking about. The strange thing is, we are so good at getting our heart broken and abused. But yet I am not a big fan of girl power and Ms Independence. It's like getting a bunny to wear an armor and fight for itself. I mean every person desires to be loved.
I found my fairytale, and to all my women out there, I hoped you find yours.
This song is for you. We are all Superwomen.
