The Inconvenient Truth

I had a great weekend singing for God. And I realized it's much more enjoyable because it's the people in the team that makes a difference. I'm just thankful to God again. I brought my parents to the Chinese Church Service this morning. My parents enjoyed the testimony and singing performance by this guest. Apparently he is a drug-addict and ex-convict who were saved and changed by God.

The testimony was sincere, truthful and moving. I enjoyed that too. Just that the preaching was really long and dry at some points. So my parents were restless and even dozed off at the last part.

Talking about the relationship sermon Pst preached this weekend, there is one point which set me thinking alot. He mentioned that if spending a little money or being inconvenient would help strengthen the marriage or please your spouse, it is wise for a man to do so. I guessed as individuals and human as we can be, we take the easy way out at times and expect our partner or even people around us to work around that. Jesus never took the easy and convenient way out. Every choice and route that He took, it was taken with in consideration to benefit us. And for that I am eternally grateful.

There is a saying that goes only a life worth living for others is worth living. How true is that. Marriage and relationship are about taking the inconvenient way out. And going the extra mile and serve your loved ones. I really like Christianity and the bible, it makes alot of sense and it is practical. I love you Jesus.

"What counts in making a happy marriage is not so much how compatible you are, but how you deal with incompatibility."
