Books

Life in the week can be pretty hectic for me. When I got home last evening, I was really exhausted and my body was crying for sleep. After all the household chores, I managed to squeeze in some time for weight-lifting. Then I decided to pick a book again after my quiet time and boy, I made the right choice.

There were a couple of novels people gave to me that I have not touch. I think reading is a great form of leisure and reflection. There is a saying that no form of entertainment is as cheap and as lasting than reading. I am now reading "A Tree Grows in Brooklyn" and it's a terrific book. I can't exactly remember who gave this book to me though. Anyway this book is about a young girl named Francie Nolan. She grew up in Brooklyn in the 1900s and how Francie and her family work to overcome poverty. So far it's been good.

My point is, all good habits comes with oppositions. A good book, a good prayer time, a good gesture, a good fellowship, a good act, a good giving. It is difficult to start with it, but once you're in it, you're thankful you took the plunge. Start reading today!

The art of reading is in great part that of acquiring a better understanding of life from one's encounter with it in a book.
